Those of you who’ve been waiting the last year for the next addition in the Eccentric Soul 7″ series can finally breathe a sigh of relief. During our excavation of the Boddie Recording Studio a mysterious tape marked Ant Hill Mob (we posted a clip from this record a few months back) turned up. On our second trip Dante turned up the codex for the entire studio which lead to the discovery of this unissued Soul Kitchen 45. “Number Runner Pts 1 & 2″ falls in right around the time of their Creations Unlimited 45, made while breathing the same psychedelic fumes pouring out of Thomas and Louise Boddie’s pressing plant’s smoke stack.
This 45 is merely the first stab in what will be a major reissue project on the Boddie Recording Company over the course of 2010. We’ll be rolling out details on how you can obtain one of the 300 copies being pressed over the next few weeks, and hope to have it for sale right before we embark on the Eccentric Soul Revue Tour.
For now, dig that amateur wah-drenched solo.

Comment by ck October 16, 2009 @ 4:20 pmThere is some evidence that it was pressed, but no one has ever seen a copy. It’s hard to say something was pressed when there’s not a single known physical copy.
