Here’s some pictures from Frank who runs the Voodoo Funk blog from his recent trip to Nigeria. Needless to say we are pretty awe-struck over here by the sheer mass of records in these pictures and are looking forward to hearing what he gleans from these insane mounds of 45s and LPs.

Here’s hoping Frank will start up an mp3 audioblog and share some of those gems with the audiophiles of the world!
Comment by skynerd February 10, 2010 @ 10:01 amMP3 audiophiles seems like an oxymoron.

Comment by jens February 11, 2010 @ 8:19 amThanx for the post, Rob. Theses pictures were actually taken in Nigeria, not in Ghana and Skynerd should check out voodoofunk.com for more than 30 hours worth of mp3s. Not in audiophile quality though…
Comment by Frank February 13, 2010 @ 10:35 amFrank ain’t messing around. His African mixes on Voodoo Funk are some of the best around. Just some unbelievable tunes on there.
Comment by Brian February 15, 2010 @ 5:39 pmwow, I see tons of same label stuff in the one shot with the white guy. Crazy mold eh? first thought I was like “katrina aftermath?” but no, but still looks like a disaster. Was it worth it? us record collectors are knobs.
