We generally don’t like to have our news broken outside this field, but when the Fader came calling, we were not quite prepared on our own end and let them have the honors. Who is Doc Rhymin’? Good question, we have no idea. A beat up Ampex reel spun out of a corner in the Boddie studio and captured our imagination: How is it that no other rap was found at Boddie, and how come these three 808-based joints were never released back in the day? We pumped Louise for answers, but as the Boddie’s were active well into the early ’90s and recorded over 500 acts, we couldn’t blame her for not remembering this Rhymin’ character.

As the 12″ market is pretty much dead, we decided to suppress a digital version, meaning you’ll have to buy and rip on your own. Only 1000 were made, and the likelihood of a repress is minimal. Need more? Listen below:
