Boddie Record Company Update: Packaging FAIL

If we don’t move forward with our concepts, it’s hard not to get bored with  doing them. Sometimes we pursue a packaging idea and it doesn’t quite pan out. We’re not far off here, but what we’re attempting doesn’t seem to be  exactly going our way. We’re trying to convey the experience of plunging into Thomas Boddie’s files and discovering a lush, deep world housed in those manila file folders. Treasures stuffed into old fashioned attaches. The most mundane office supplies cause a palpable thrill when they may or may not contain the secrets of an extraordinary music scene. We’re going back a step or two… not all the way to the drawing board though. Stay tuned for new developments soon.

Those look sweet, but it seems the clasps could really do a number on the vinyl inside. Whatever the end result, I’m confident this set is going to be amazing.
