If you pick up random fliers at record and coffee shops, you may have noticed this one floating around greater Chicagoland:

If you can’t read 3 pt type, here’s the gist:

– Full Numero Catalog & Merchandise
– New Fall Releases Before They Hit The Shelves
– Exclusive and Discounted Items
-Thousands of Used Lp’s & 45’s,
-Other Yard Sale Goods.

Directions from the train:
(10 minute walk)
Pink Line to California, Walk South on California towards Cermak, Right on Cermak, Left on Marshall Blvd.

Address:

2348 S. Marshall Blvd. Chicago, IL 60623

Here’s what folks in the local media have been saying:

Numero (Uno!) may just be the hippest, most down to earth and elegant establishment known to man, or at least known to rock’n roll, blues and 45 lovin’ fiends from both sides of the Northside/Southside divide. I mean you have to give props to anybody who sticks to their roots and sends out waves of good feeling from the fresh and fabulous streets of anywhere not Wicker Park, Logan Square, now-East Humboldt Park or art walk Pilsen… Yes that’s right, out of shear admiration and staunch support, you should trek it down to the unknowns of the Southlands and brave those awkward glances by abuelitas as your tattooed youth draws you unwanted attention. —Gozamos

The reissue label will be slinging records (both used and new), books, and “other various goods” this Saturday, October 15, from 9 AM to 3 PM at its headquarters in Little Village (2348 S. Marshall), and I’m sure they’ll be more than willing to answer your questions about that rare Mystiques 45. A handful of Numero’s friends will also be hawking vinyl, and tunes from the label’s deep archives will be spinning throughout the day.—Chicago Reader

Any chance of a Numero yard sale in London?

I think it might be difficult to move the vintage bubble gum dispenser and Loni Anderson posters.
