It’s like springbreak for major dorks: three long days of intense record gripping, Two Boots pizza burnout, tense moments, and terrible coffee. The annual WFMU Record Fair has something for the most grueled record nerd and the uninformed Manhattan dilettante. And that something is Numero’s extensive catalog. All 90+ releases in the Numero (and related) catalog will be available, something that no store in the 5 Boroughs manages to keep in stock. Think of it as a great pop-up record store inside a pop-up record mall. You can also deliver complaints and grievances directly to co-founder Rob Sevier who will be working the table intermittently over the course of Saturday and Sunday. He will do his best to come up with excuses for our many shortcomings. The schedule is: Friday 7-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-7pm (and if you have major problems, come to the early admission from 4-7pm on Friday… it’ll cost you $25 to elbow your way into the fray.
We’ll have real time updates, live from the Record Fair, to document the gripperfrenzy.
