Hey, did you guys hear the one about California’s longshoremen strike? In reality, the dispute between dock workers and shipping companies at ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach was no laughing matter. Reputed to have wreaked billion-dollar-a-day havoc on the GDP, operations only recently resumed, liberating containers stacked since November, piled high with rotten produce, Christmas presents, broken Roku boxes, and the entire run of Scharpling & Wurster: The Best of the Best Show. Not even the fictional town of Newbridge, New Jersey was immune to the far-reaching effects of this historic labor dispute.
As of right now, The Best Of The Best Show has cleared customs and is making its way to Chicago by freight. So, while we have had to push the official release date back to 5/12, those who preordered their box will more than likely receive theirs by the end of this month (as promised). Believe us when we say that once those pallets arrive at Numero HQ, it’s going to be an all-hands-on-deck affair until every last copy reaches every last customer.
