We’ve been getting a fuck-ton of hits lately coming from The L Word‘s site. Wondering what the hubbub was (and forgetting that we recently synched a song on the show), I clicked back and discovered that Franciene Thomas’ “Too Beautiful To Be Good” was featured in this week’s episode. If you came here looking for more info about Franciene, we have little. She was one of the many young women Jesse Jones recorded for his Tragar label in the late 60s, issuing one lonely single in 1969 before disappearing into the kudzu. The good news is that both sides of that 45 are available on Eccentric Soul: The Tragar & Note Labels, along with 48 other wonderful southern soul gems. It looks like this:
